Iceland - portrayed in splendid photography

I don't normally do any promotion on my website. But here I happily make an exemption. When you read this, you'll see why.

For a Christmas gift I received a book: "Sagenhaftes Island" (Fabulous Iceland).

It is a  wondrous photo book. Kerstin Langenberger and Olaf Krueger introduce the island of Iceland near the northern polar circle with their outstanding poetic photography. Amazingly beautiful pictures seduce the spectator's eyes and inflame his or her fantasy, as he or she keeps roaming and lingering through the pages of the island's magnificent landscapes of glaciers and pastures, of snow-covered mountains, impressive waterfalls and of volcanic hell's gates. Seen at dawn and at dusk, in sunshine and under clouds, the mystical wonders of this island's nature capture you.  Both photographers poetically portray what they see with gentle sensitivity.

As I was turning the pages and read the accompanying, just as poetic text by Karl-Ludwig Wetzig, my Norse gods and goddesses, giants, trolls and creatures of my childhood imagination seemed to come alive like they do in the Norse mythology "Edda". The journey through this book enticed me and just may entice you to put a real journey to Iceland on your agenda.

The book is available only in the German language. (Written in complementary poetic prose - for those of you who understand German). It can be ordered via email to info@olafkrueger.com

The price is EURO 50,00 including postal charges within Germany. Outside Germany, postal charges will be added.
