"Spring" Copper etching by Thomas Major
(1714-1799) After the painting by Franz de
Paula Ferg (1689-1740) The painting was in the
possession of Gilbert East. His collection of paintings was
engraved and published in 1754. This seems to be and most
likely is one a set of four seasons prints. Attractive and
in good condition. Paper has general pleasant age
toning. There is a slightly visible light crease lower left

Winter "Le Frilleux" Copper etching by Jean Charles Levasseur (1734-1816) After the painting by David Tenier (1610-1690) Grim, cold winter time,
personified by and old man. On a frozen over lake scatters
