"Bayros Mappe"
From a special, numbered edition (Nr. 272 of 500 exemplars), we offer with pleasure and pride some of the famed heliogravures of ãBayros Mappe". The collection was so successful, that the publisher decided to print a second edition in the same year, 1921.
The heliogravures were arranged in in four groupings:
- ãSymphonie von der Güte, die Schönheit ist"
- ãWeib"
- ãFlorentiner Phantasien"
- ãSalome"
- ãVaria"
And preceded by a preface introduction by Rudolf Hans Bartsch.
This presentation does not follow this order!
Our ãMappe" was unfortunately incomplete when we bought it. But still, you'll see and enjoy Bayros and the pieces of art he created, of whom and of which Bartsch writes in his preface ãÉhis dreams are often like superb music".
Each heliogravure is mounted centrally and affixed at top on a thin, dark mauve-colored cardboard. Size 31 x 37 cm (ca. 12.2 x 14.6")
All heliogravures are in very good condition. Blemishes on underlaying cardboards are mentioned
