Copper engravings of Roman sculptures by Jan de Bisschop (1628-1671).
These plates were published in "Signorum veterum icones" in 1668. Some of the plates were made after the drawings by Bisschop. Others were engraved after the drawings of Ferraris, Pieter Doncker, Theodor Matham and others. Bisschop (Joh. Episcopius) signed some of the plates in the lower left as J. E. f. ( Episcopus fecit).
